Put your Tally on your phone

Install the connector on the computer where TallyPrime runs. It syncs your books to Nexvia Books so you can view them on your phone. Authorised app entries and supported contact updates can also write back to Tally. The connector belongs on the Tally computer; other users sign in on their phone or browser.

Choose your Windows version

Download on the computer where you use Tally or BUSY. Use the same Nexvia Books sign-in after installation.

Not sure which Windows version you have? Press Windows + R, type winver, then press Enter.

Already have an older tray? Run this installer once under the same Windows user to enable compatibility auto-updates. You can install over the existing version; no manual uninstall is needed. Your saved settings stay in place.

Before using Windows 7 or 8: these compatibility builds use older components that no longer receive security updates. Tests on actual Windows 7 / 8 computers are still pending; test on one computer before wider use. The installer chooses 32-bit or 64-bit automatically. Windows 7 needs Service Pack 1 and Windows Management Framework 5.1. Windows 8 / 8.1 includes the required PowerShell version. Tally or BUSY and any required database drivers must also support your Windows version.

Step-by-step

Download & open the installer

Click the download button for your Windows version above and save the installer. If Chrome says "not commonly downloaded", click the ⋯ on the download → Keep. Then double-click the file.

If a blue "Windows protected your PC" box appears…

Click the small More info link, then the Run anyway button that appears. Windows can show this message because the installer has no publisher certificate. Continue only if you downloaded the file from this official page.

Finish the install

Accept the defaults (a few seconds). Nexvia Books then appears as a small icon in your system tray, near the clock.

Switch on TallyPrime's data port

In TallyPrime: press F1 (Help) → Settings → Connectivity. Set 'TallyPrime acts as' = Both and Port = 9000, then restart Tally. Check it by opening http://localhost:9000 — Tally answers with a small server page.

Sign in & you're done

Click the tray icon → sign in with your Nexvia Books email & password. It connects to Tally and syncs every ~2 minutes. Open books.nexviatech.in on any device — your books are there.

⚠️ Good to know for a Windows PC

  • Check the download source. This installer has no publisher certificate. Use only the official download buttons on this page.
  • If double-clicking does nothing / says "blocked": right-click the file → Properties → tick Unblock → OK, then open it again.
  • Install it on the one PC where Tally runs — not on everyone's machine. Others just open the website.
  • Keep that PC on and TallyPrime open during business hours so your books stay live. When it's off, you still see the last sync; it catches up automatically.
  • Have more than one company? After signing in, enable each one in the app under Companies.
  • Sync reads your books. Authorised entries and supported contact updates can write back to Tally when enabled. Review user permissions before giving staff recording access.

Common questions

Which computer do I install it on? +
The one you open TallyPrime on. Just that one — not everybody's computer. Everyone else opens Nexvia Books on their phone or laptop and signs in; there is nothing for them to install.
Is it safe? What can it access? +
The connector reads TallyPrime data and syncs it to your own Nexvia Books workspace. Viewing reports does not change Tally. Authorised entries and supported party-contact updates can write back through the connector. Control access with user permissions and protect the computer and sign-in. Install only from the official links on this page.
Do I install it on every computer? +
No — just once, on the single machine where Tally runs. Everyone else opens books.nexviatech.in on their phone or laptop. No install for them.
How do updates work? +
Windows 10 / 11: the tray downloads regular updates and installs them after a running sync finishes. Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1: install this compatibility version once. It then checks for compatible updates automatically while running and online, and installs after sync finishes. Each computer receives the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package. It keeps your settings and will not install a Windows 10-only update.
Does the machine need to stay on? +
For live updates, yes — keep the Tally machine on (and Tally open) during business hours. When it's off, your phone still shows the last synced data and it catches up automatically the next time Tally is open.
