Tally entry from mobile — vouchers that post back
Nexvia Books is not just a viewer. Record a sale at the counter, a receipt at the customer’s shop or an order in the field — each entry is validated against your own Tally masters first, then posts into TallyPrime as a proper voucher, under your own voucher types and numbering.
On iPhone, sign up on the web first. The iOS app opens straight to sign‑in and can’t create a workspace — once yours exists, it signs in like any other device. Android can do either.

What you can record from your phone
Sales & purchase invoices
GST-aware item invoices — tax heads resolved from your own ledgers, godown and batch respected where your book uses them.
Receipts & payments
Against specific pending bills (Agst Ref) or on account — mirroring Tally’s bill-wise behaviour exactly.
Journal & contra
A Dr/Cr line grid that must balance before it can queue; cash-to-bank transfers in seconds.
Credit & debit notes
Returns and adjustments with the correct signs and tax treatment.
Sales & purchase orders
Orders with price levels where your book keeps them, plus owner approval flows for field teams.
Delivery notes & proformas
Challans without accounting, and proforma invoices that never touch your books until converted.
Why it’s safe to let the phone in
- Validated before Tally ever sees it — party, ledgers and items must exist in your masters; GST tax-mode safety is checked; a bad entry is blocked at the form, not discovered in Tally.
- Approval flow — staff and salesmen submit; the owner reviews and approves; only then does anything post.
- No duplicates — the connector confirms each voucher with Tally and is engineered to never double-post, even across retries.
- Your voucher types and series — entries post under your own types (including custom ones) with your numbering, auto or manual.
- Read-only otherwise — outside the entries you explicitly record, the connector never writes to Tally.
- Per-user permission — recording is a granted privilege, not a default; most users stay view-only.
From tap to Tally
Record on the phone
The form validates live against your synced masters — parties, items, ledgers, tax mode.
Approve (if you want)
Field orders can wait for a one-tap owner approval; direct entry is also possible for trusted users.
It posts into Tally
The connector builds a native Tally voucher, posts it, confirms it landed, and the app shows it synced back.
Works even when the Tally PC is off
Entries queue safely in your workspace and post the next time the connector and Tally are running — you can see each entry’s status (queued, posted, or needs attention) the whole way. Nothing is lost, nothing posts twice.
Everything you can record, and how it reaches Tally
Tap any row to open it. The full feature index covers the rest of the product.
Recording back into Tally
Not a read-only viewer. Create real vouchers from your phone — validated against your own masters first, then posted into Tally as proper entries. Two-way Tally entry includes CSV import and e-Invoice access. It also comes with Packing & delivery and Field Force for Books Team.
Record entry — 2-tier switcher (13 voucher types)
Money, Invoices, Returns, Orders & challans, Accounting, and Factory (Stock Journal + worker wages).
Everything you would normally key at the Tally screen organized in a clean 2-tier switcher across 6 groups: Money (Receipt, Payment), Invoices (Sales, Purchase, Proforma), Returns (Credit Note, Debit Note), Orders & challans (Sales Order, Purchase Order, Delivery Note, Receipt Note), Accounting (Contra, Journal), and Factory (Manufacture Stock Journal). Each is checked against your real ledgers, items and voucher types before it goes to Tally. Types your Tally has not used recently wait under More types, so the list stays short.
- Receipts and payments settle against specific bills — tick them, or let auto-allocate clear the oldest first
- Item grids carry qty, rate, GST and — when your Tally uses line discounts — a Disc % column, with rates entered including or excluding tax
- Godown pickers on multi-godown books; in-state / out-of-state asked when it cannot be detected
- Journal shows “Balanced” (or how much it differs by) as you type; Contra is simply From, To and amount
- Folded detail disclosure: Secondary fields (narration, reference, broker, transporter) stay tucked neatly out of the way
- Everything autosaves as a draft as you type
- CSV import and e-Invoice & e-Way Bill access are included with Two-way Tally entry; document usage charges still apply
Bill To, Ship To and Dispatch From
Bill one address, deliver to another — set per invoice, without touching the party ledger.
On a sales or purchase entry, the company and party addresses fill in by themselves. When a bill goes to a different consignee, or leaves from a different place, tick Use a different address on Bill To, Ship To or Dispatch From and type it in for that voucher only. The addresses post into Tally with the entry and print on the invoice.
- Name, address, city, PIN code, state and GSTIN per address
- Your own business name and GSTIN stay fixed
- The party ledger itself is never changed
Factory manufacture entry (Stock Journal & worker wages)
Convert raw materials to finished goods in Tally and automatically credit worker wage liabilities.
Under Record → Factory → Manufacture, produce finished goods against bills of materials. Calculates raw material consumption, logs scrap/wastage into Tally as a Stock Journal, and automatically generates a Journal voucher crediting worker piece-rate wage liability ledgers.
- Finished good & BOM selection: Automatically loads raw material formula
- Wastage / Scrap tracking: Records scrap percentages and secondary output
- Worker piece-rate allocation: Automatically creates a Journal voucher crediting each worker ledger in Tally
- Month-end audit: Review worker dues under Reports → Labour Dues
“Made against” references
Turn an order, proforma or challan into an invoice without re-keying it.
When you raise a Sales invoice, pick the Sales Order, Proforma Invoice or Delivery Note it fulfils. The party and item lines fill themselves in — still editable — the reference is set, and the link is recorded on the Tally voucher itself. Purchases do the same against Purchase Orders and Receipt Notes.
You can see every entry’s progress
Waiting → Sending to Tally → In Tally, with edit and try again while it waits.
Nothing disappears into a black box. Each entry shows its real state, and while it is still waiting you can open it, correct it, or cancel it. Once it has landed in Tally you can edit or delete it from the entry itself (see below), or take a corrected copy — and the connector refuses to post that copy until the original is genuinely gone from Tally, so you can never end up with both.
Edit an entry
Open any entry, tap Edit, change it, save — the change is written back into Tally or BUSY.
Open an entry from Vouchers, a party or an item and tap Edit. The same form you use to record an entry opens, already filled in: party, date, items with quantity, rate and godown, ledgers, tax and narration. Change what you need and tap Save changes. Nexvia on your office PC writes the change into Tally or BUSY within a minute, and keeps the same voucher number.
Some entries have things the app’s form cannot show — an e-invoice (IRN), an e-way bill, batches, a split across godowns or cost centres, a discount ledger, foreign currency. Those cannot be edited here; the entry tells you why in plain words, so you can change it in Tally or BUSY instead.
- Sales, Purchase, Receipt, Payment, Journal, Contra, Credit Note, Debit Note, Sales Order and Purchase Order
- Saving replaces the whole entry with what is on the form, so check it before you save
- While the change waits it says “Edit waiting to be written…”; you can still cancel it
- If Tally or BUSY refuses the change, the entry says why, with a Try again button
- Owners and admins can edit; give it to anyone else in Manage Access → Edit entries
Delete an entry
Delete a wrong entry from Tally or BUSY straight from the app, with an optional reason.
Open the entry and tap Delete. The app shows exactly which entry it is — type, number, date, party and amount — and lets you add a reason. Once you confirm, Nexvia on your office PC deletes it from Tally or BUSY within a minute. It cannot be undone from the app, so the confirmation always names the entry first.
- While it waits it says “Delete waiting to be written…”; you can cancel it until then
- Entries with an e-invoice or e-way bill cannot be deleted here — cancel those first
- Owners and admins can delete; give it to anyone else in Manage Access → Delete entries
BUSY: add entries from the app
Companies kept in BUSY can record entries from the app too — they are written straight into BUSY.
The app knows whether each company is in Tally or in BUSY and works the right way for each. For a BUSY company, Record entry offers Sales, Purchase, Receipt, Payment, Journal, Contra, Credit Note, Debit Note, Sales Order and Purchase Order, and every message says BUSY instead of Tally. Nexvia on the BUSY computer writes each entry into BUSY and the status shows Sending to BUSY → In BUSY.
- The same forms, checks and item/party lists as a Tally company
- Proforma invoices, delivery notes and manufacturing entries stay Tally-only
- Entries already in BUSY can be edited or deleted from the app as well
- Needs the latest Nexvia Books app on the BUSY computer
Orders, approvals and customer storefront
Salesmen raise orders, customers self-order from shared link, and you approve to Tally.
A salesman raises an order from the field against parties in their own area, priced from your Tally price levels. Customers can also self-order directly from their private statement share link with visual product cards, category filters, and cart sheet. You get it on the Approvals screen with a one-tap Approve → Invoice or Approve → Order form, which confirms the party and amount before it goes to Tally.
- Customer storefront on party share link with visual product catalogue, category filters, and cart sheet
- Show or hide prices per link, and optionally let customers propose their own rates for you to accept or counter
- Every order shows whether it is in Tally, with Try again if it did not get there
- Closing an order carries through into Tally. Cancel one nothing was delivered against, or short-close a part-delivered one to drop the pending balance — and the order voucher in Tally is altered to match, so your own books stop showing quantities nobody is going to send
- An order you typed in Tally is closed in Tally — the app says so plainly instead of offering a button that could not work
- An order that does not reach Tally says why in plain words — edit and resubmit it, or try again once the missing party or item exists in Tally
e-Invoice & e-Way Bill
Generate the IRN and the e-Way bill; the numbers are written onto the Tally voucher by themselves.
Generate an e-Invoice (IRN with the signed QR) or an e-Way Bill (vehicle, distance, transporter) straight from the bill view, under your own GSTIN. The IRN, acknowledgement, QR and e-way details are then written onto the voucher in Tally automatically, and the panel shows when Tally has them.
Every bill is checked before anything is sent — freight and discount lines, mixed GST rates and round-off included — so a bill that would not match Tally is stopped with a plain explanation instead of creating a wrong IRN.
- Cancel an e-Invoice or an e-Way Bill from the same panel
- A status line shows whether the Tally voucher has been updated, with a retry if it needs one
- If the voucher already carries an IRN or e-Way number it says so instead of letting you duplicate it
- Included with Two-way Tally entry, and so with Packing & delivery and Field Force
- With Packing & delivery: rules decide which bills get an e-Way Bill when the goods leave, made with the vehicle number
- 100 requests per subscription month are included; extra generation or cancellation requests cost 0.5 Nex Coins each by default. Plan & billing shows the remaining count and reset date
